Hello Everyone,

October 2015

I love October, not just because it is my birthday month but because the air changes, the season changes, the time changes.

It is when we must embrace the fact that the time change will have us seeing the dark sooner. A time when the trees begin to let loose the leaves, orange, brown and yellow leaves flying about.

It is the time when the ghouls and horrors are seen in decorations, shows, movies and parties.

It is the time when we say farewell to the summer heat, smile toward the cooler weather and wonder of the winter to come.

Happy October! May there be light within you to shine upon the earlier darker hours. May the ghouls and gremlins that ring the door bell make you smile and partake in trick or treat.

May you embrace the change in season knowing... it will bring us back to Spring soon enough.

I have added a tab - Whisper my words, which is a link to my site where I post stories, poems, AndMore events and the Watcher's Journal. Take a peek and enjoy.

Inspiration me...Appreciate

It's one of those weeks let alone one of those days where inspiration is needed most....

I appreciate all that I am and all that I have. Stop focusing on what you do not have, and shift  your consciousness to an appreciation for all that you are and all that you do have. ~ Inner Wisdom Cards by Wayne Dyer

Gratitude is the least of the virtues, but ingratitude is the worst of vices. ~Thomas Fuller

Sometimes appreciating is best when you have the least.  You can either feel sorry for  yourself or stand tall, be grateful for life and all you have left and move on.  Let go of the pity party and plan the fiesta!

AndMore...Bitch Slapping Festival

People who bite the hand that feeds them usually lick the boot that kicks them. ~Eric Hoffer

That quote just lingers in my mind.  I see a lot of 'biters' day in and day out.  Some are:

nibblers, they nibble away showing that it really doesn't hurt...when in actuality the part is numb.
chewers, these people just stare at you while chewing away at your core (small inner grin intact).
chompers, greedy breed these biters.  They just take a chunk off and always when you are not looking, these people are also runners.
tear apart, these psycho's just grab and tear with a vengeful bite at any one at any time.  They also look regretful once they clean up their faces.
kiss-rippers, these are the charmers, they lean in for a kiss and take a good bite, they also have the gift of making it seem as though it was YOUR fault.

No matter the biter, you the prey must know one thing. BITCH SLAPPING!  Whether it's a verbal 'Yeah Baby, I see the lips form a kiss but I saw the last victim, MOVE ON' or
'Oh man, you got me this time BUT...watch my ASS as I walk out' or
Just a good old fashion actual and physical BITCH SLAP.

The time to be a victim is never!  Pick up your petticoat with one hand and start slapping with the other.  In most cases a verbal will do just fine since biters usually think you will always let them feast.  Arrogant fu_ckers!

And if any of the above does not tell you something then lets try this...the quote...end of quote...
'usually lick the boot that kicks them'  You wanna be a boot licker????

Didn't think so!  Gargle and strengthen the vocals.  Use stress balls and strengthen the hand because a bitch slapping fest is better then a boot licking party of two.

AndMore...American dollar

So....I visit my sister in South Jersey, it was a lovely time.  We just laughed and had a good weekend.  Sunday morning I begin my journey North as I had plans for the day.

I had enough for the first two tolls but only had a $20 bill for the last one and of course no E-Z pass (really have to get one now that I am traveling more again).

I reach the toll and there is only one which has an attendant.  I give her the $20 and a greeting.  I look at her, she looks about 70 with the blackest died hair which made her wrinkles even more profound.  She kept sucking on her teeth the way elderly do with dentures.  She hands me the change with both hands balled up.

I reach out cupping my hands and she dumps $19.00 in quarters and dollar coins.

Me:  'May I please have bills'
Hag: 'It's American money, use it anywhere'
Me: 'I don't have a coin sorter, may I have bills please'
Hag: 'What's wrong? You don't know how to recognize American money?'
Me:  'May I have American bills please'
Me: '90% of the stores in America are run by FOREIGNERS, can I have bills please'
Hag: (takes the coins begrudgingly) 'That's what's wrong with the country, no one knows American money'
Me: 'No, what's wrong with the country is that they depleted SSI and now I have deal with pissed off seniors with an ax to grind.

I really believe the top part of her dentures detached, I drove on.

Really?  Really?  The Garden State Parkway????  WTF???? I can't even enjoy a Sunday morning drive.

Inspiration me...when to let go...revoking

'You don't have to make a decision today' ~ (Catherine) Biting Back by Claudia Cunningham

'.....instead of using the whip on myself for not being able to make my decision on a dime, I tried to relax and pay attention to what was happening in my everyday life.' ~ Biting Back Claudia Cunningham

'If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.' ~-Marcus Aurelius Antoninus

How many years does it take to finally say enough!  To say, I will not let you take advantage! To say, I don't want this anymore!

It takes as many as it will for your heart and mind to agree.  Sad but true.

It always leads me back to my cousin and our trip several years ago to Rhode Island.  Where she explained the Point of no Return and how I mastered that approach.  To take and take until something inside shuts down, I walk away and that is that.  Sometimes when I can't either make a decision or my heart is to wrapped up to allow me to make a decision, this is the only route I know.  Most times, it just happens and it is always unplanned.  In the back of my mind I am preparing myself on how to tell the someone or someones - ENOUGH!, yet I don't and something inside just......stops.....

It was interesting to see something similar in this book. -  'In fact, once we've come that far, I'm not even sure there's any turning back----and that's also a good thing.' Biting Back by Claudia Cunningham

I have since reading this book, slayed some vampires, pushed some back, drawn lines and boundaries for others.  Yet...there are 3 that remain.  I can't decide and at least in one case the inevitable holds true, that vampire will need serious slaying.  Thus far, I regain my energy.  And.....you CAN regain your energy.

Thus far, I see clearer, it is happiness, sadness, preparing and confusion, but... nonetheless clearer.

I find myself in situations that are either the same or worse, but I see them as the situations that they are and arm myself.  Now that...is...progress.
